Jim Silverstein, a partner in the New Orleans office of Kean Miller, has been named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Fellowship is based on experience and a professional career marked by the high standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Silverstein joined the firm in 2012 and practices in the admiralty and maritime, products liability, energy, construction and environmental areas.
Ellen Burke and Santosh Andem, both of Neel-Schaffer Inc., have been certified as professional traffic operations engineers.
Burke is in the firm’s Baton Rouge office, and Andem is in its Lafayette office.
Certification is based on experience and passing an exam.
Cindy Heine, president of Associated Benefits Consulting and SyncStream Solutions LLC, has been designated a certified employee benefit specialist by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
The designation is based on passing a series of college-level national examinations.
