Metairie-based Jet Concrete Services, a specialist in large commercial and civil projects, ranked highest among the 47 Louisiana firms in the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America.

Greenup Industries, a Gonzales-based energy services firm, was the highest ranking firm from the capital area. Jet Concrete was No. 178 and Greenup was No. 208.

Jet's revenue grew 2,406 percent over three years to $7.6 million in 2016. Greenup, which provides maintenance, business, construction and environmental services for refineries, saw its revenue grow 2,079 percent to $14.9 million.

They were among 26 firms from the New Orleans metro area, 14 from the Baton Rouge metro area and two from Lafayette that made the Inc. list.
