The Movie Tavern in Citiplace will be closed Monday and Tuesday so the theater can install a new point of sale system.
Danny DiGiacomo, vice president of sales and marketing for Dallas-based Movie Tavern, said the Citiplace theater doesn’t have the same POS system as the 22 other locations. Movie Tavern was testing a new system when it opened the Citiplace location in August.
“Putting in the new system will help with the efficiency and speed,” DiGiacomo said. He did not know how much the new system will cost to install.
At Movie Tavern, customers can watch a movie and order food and drinks from oversized recliners equipped with call buttons.
Movie Tavern is encouraging customers to go to the Juban Crossing location for the two days while the new equipment is being installed in Citiplace.
