A pair of local dentists have purchased the Sherwood South shopping center at Sherwood Forest Boulevard and Old Hammond Highway for $3 million.
Cobalt Realty, made up of Drs. Andre and Jessica Bruni, bought the center in a deal that was filed Friday with the city-parish Clerk of Court’s Office. The seller was Equity One of New York.
The center takes up 11.2 acres and its tenants include Ideal Market, Burke’s Outlet, Fred’s and Harbor Freight Tools.
The Brunis founded Bluebonnet Dental Care. Last year the couple purchased the Highland Road estate owned by local philanthropist Paula Pennington de la Bretonne for $6 million, a deal that local real estate experts said was the most paid for a single-family home in Baton Rouge.
Cobalt Realty said it has a portfolio of more than 600,000 square feet of office and retail space spread across the southeast.
