The developers of The District, a 312-unit, high-end apartment complex surrounding a four-story garage nestled in the crook of Perkins Road and Dawson Creek, have filed for building permits for the project.

Vintala Partners, a venture between Stephen D. Keller and Clay D. Likover, said it would not release any information until next month on the project.

It will be on about 11 acres bounded to the north by Perkins Road and south by Dawson Creek.

Plans filed with the city-parish call for the 437-space parking garage to be built first, along with about a dozen units and the leasing office, pool, tanning room, clubhouse and fitness, media and business centers.

The apartment units will be housed in 10 three-story buildings. The site will also include 128 surface parking spaces.

Keller had said last year that the $33 million development has a construction timetable of 13 months, though that clock won’t start ticking until the permits are issued.
