Home Instead Senior Care has purchased a building on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard that will serve as its administrative headquarters and a training center.

Home Instead, which offers a variety of in-home care for the elderly, covering everything from providing short-term companionship to Alzheimer’s services, paid $695,000 for the 6,500-square-foot building at 5055 S. Sherwood Forest, said Charlie Colvin, an agent with Beau Box Commercial Real Estate, who represented the buyer.

Matt Cohn, who has the Baton Rouge Home Instead franchise, said the purchase will allow his company to further expand its services by giving caregivers a place to develop their skills.
