Lenny’s Subs, a Memphis, Tennessee-based chain with more than 100 locations in 12 states, is looking at opening its first Louisiana restaurant in Baton Rouge.
The company is considering multiple restaurants in the metro area after it signs a franchisee, said Bob Ritter, vice president of franchise and market development.
Lenny’s has 21 locations in Texas and 13 in Mississippi. Louisiana and South Carolina stand out as the only Southeast states without a location of the restaurant.
Ritter said Baton Rouge’s demographics make it a fit for Lenny’s.
Lenny’s, which was founded in 1998, is known for its Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which accounts for about 40 percent of the chain’s sales. The average meal at Lenny’s is about $10 for a 7-inch-long sandwich, chips and a drink.
