CB&I, which announced earlier this month it was centralizing its governmental affairs division in Baton Rouge, will hold a job fair from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Baton Rouge River Center.
CB&I hopes to complete the local consolidation of about 400 governmental affairs employees by the end of the year. The employees had been spread out over 20 locations across the U.S.
The exact number of people CB&I hopes to hire from the job fair isn’t known yet, because it still hasn’t been determined how many current governmental affairs employees will decide not to relocate to Baton Rouge, said Gentry Brann, a company spokeswoman.
The company is looking for potential employees in the following areas: engineering, billing, project accounting, project controls, procurement, quality, contract administration, estimating, human resources, accounting and finance, and health, safety and environment.
Applicants who attend the job fair should take résumés. To register online or get more information, go to www.CBIBatonRouge.com.
