Eatel is seeking inspirational ideas for the Reach-A-Kid, Teach-A-Kid grant program through Oct. 28.
The Reach-A-Kid Teach-A-Kid grant program provides teachers in Ascension Parish with funding for innovative teaching projects. Each year Eaatel funds a total of 10 $500 grants to promote creative educational programs.
For over 20 years, the program has made awards totaling over $100,000 reaching all grade levels, K-12, this grant opens the doors to creative thinking for students and teachers, according to a new release. Past grants include funding for everything from new keyboards and an American Girls' reading club to building and launching rockets.
“We’re proud partners and sponsors of education,” says Josh Descant, CEO of REV Broadband — the parent company of RTC, Eatel, Vision Communications and VENYU. “It’s an honor to offer this program to connect our hardworking and enthusiastic teachers to resources that will allow them to implement creative classroom projects.”
