St. Amant High School’s football awards banquet was held Sunday in the school’s commons area.

About 29 seniors were honored for their achievements on and off the field, St. Amant Booster Club President James E. LeBlanc said.

The Gator Athletic Department also honored coaches and their wives, the school administration, the Ascension Parish School Board, the parents and players, the managers and trainers, the St. Amant High School Booster Club, Pit Stop Subway, Tureau’s Grocery, Rotolo’s, school support teams, the press box personnel, the chain gang field crew, the football field painting group, and team doctors and physical therapists, he said.

During the ceremony, the Gator Athletic Department and the administration received the 2014 Ascension Parish Champions poster.

The poster was designed after the football team beat both East Ascension and Dutchtown this season. The poster, developed by the St. Amant Booster Club, includes highlight pictures from the games along with the final score of each game.
