Rotarians learn history of Community Coffee _lowres

Brian Girardot, of Community Coffee, gave a brief history of the Baton Rouge-based company during the Gonzales Rotary Club’s Sept. 9 meeting.

Girardot told Rotarians that Community Coffee started in 1919 and is the largest family-owned brand coffee company in America, a news release from the Gonzales Rotary Club said.

Community Coffee offers its products in retail stores, restaurants, businesses, coffee houses and via the Internet, Girardot told members.

Community Coffee is now available in 20 states and employs more than 700 people, Girardot said.
