Chasedee Noto, of St. Amant, has been reappointed to the Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council, council chairwoman Sandra Beech said in a news release.

Noto has lived in St. Amant for 37 of years, is an active member of People First of Ascension, serves as president of People First of Louisiana and is a member-at-large of the Self Determination and Community Inclusion and Housing Committee.

The Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Council has served Louisiana for more than 25 years advocating, planning and initiating programs for people with developmental disabilities in their own communities, the release says. The council’s mission is to ensure all residents with disabilities benefit from supports and opportunities in their communities so they achieve quality of life in conformance with their wishes, the release says.

As a reappointed member of the council, Noto said she hopes to speak up for people with developmental disabilities who may not have a voice on fair housing and fair employment.

Noto said she welcomes input from members of the community who have questions or concerns they would like presented to the Developmental Disabilities Council.

She is available to speak to groups and organizations who might be interested in a short presentation.

For more information, email Noto at or send inquiries to Chasedee Noto, 1122 S.E. Ascension Complex Blvd., Gonzales, LA70737 or call the Disabilities Council at (800) 450-8108.
