The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will hold a hands-on trapping workshop Dec. 11 at the LDWF Waddill Wildlife Refuge, 4142 N. Flannery Road, Baton Rouge. The workshop is free, but registration is required.

This family friendly workshop is designed to preserve trapping as a management tool, a recreational activity and an economic benefit to Louisiana citizens, a news release said. Topics include state trapping regulations, trapping equipment, trapping safety, best management practices, trap selection/setting and skinning.
