A tea service was held April 23 on the grounds of Centenary State Historic Site in Jackson, coinciding with the 25th annual Battle of Jackson Crossroads re-enactment. Period dress was required. Many participants were wives of the re-enactors participating in the Battle of Jackson event.
Participants were treated to a park video display and making memento bookmarks.
J.W. Binion portrayed Confederate President Jefferson Davis, who spoke about his experiences while in office.
Vanessa Mendel played the violin, and tea, lemonade, sandwiches and cookies were served.
A trolley provided transportation to and from the Battle of Jackson campgrounds.
