Jackson Elementary School's homecoming festivities were a celebration of the school's values of respect, responsibility and kindness — with a dash of silliness.

The week began Monday, Oct. 16, with Silly Sock Day. On the second day, students showcased their grade level spirit with Class Color Day, as each grade wore a different color of shirt. Oct. 18 was College and Pro Spirit Day; students wore shirts and jerseys from their favorite college and pro teams. The dress-up festivities concluded with a burst of blue and gold for East Feliciana Spirit Day.

JES Homecoming Coronation was held at the East Feliciana Professional Development Learning Center in Clinton on Wednesday evening. Reigning over the festivities was Miss JES Da'Shayla Goss. She and her royal court were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating the school's values of respect, responsibility and kindness every day.

"We are exceptionally proud of our Homecoming Court," Principal Megan Phillips said. "They are great representatives of their school and their community."

After a homecoming-themed STEAM Night on the evening of Oct. 19, members of the JES Homecoming Court participated Oct. 20 in the homecoming parade through historic downtown Clinton.
