Albany Lower Elementary prekindergarten students enjoyed several rodeo-themed activities Nov. 12 during a school rodeo sponsored by members of the Albany High School 4-H Club.

The students petted horses, turkeys, goats and a large bull; challenged one another to sack races; had their faces and hands painted; and made bandana bracelets. Students also were able to test their skills of “roping” a pretend steer and hopping around on bouncers as if they were on real bucking broncos, a news release said.

The 4-H members created a pig pinning activity with pink decorated balloons and simulated horse barrel racing with coffee cans and stick horses.
