More than three years after it was initially planned, C’est Tres Bon! has opened. The grand opening for the federally funded apartment complex for people with disabilities was Oct. 9, a news release from Options said.
“I love my new place,” said C’est Tres Bon! resident and board member Shileah Wright. “It’s quiet and easy for me to access. I’ve been packed up and ready to move for a year, so I’m really glad to be here!”
The apartment complex is located on Crisp Road in Hammond and can house 10 people, the release said. The federally funded apartments are managed by Options, a private, nonprofit agency that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live and work in the community.
“We are always looking for ways improve the lives of people with disabilities,” said Options CEO Sylvia Bush. “We couldn’t be happier with this new apartment complex. We are grateful to each and every person involved.”
