The students in Nicole Wells’ second-grade class at Woodland Park Magnet School recently considered a future as engineers during a class lesson.

While studying about inventors and engineers, they read the story "Not a Box" by Antoinette Portis. The students were encouraged to use their imagination to become young engineers and created their own invention from a cardboard box.
