Yelp! Baton Rouge was created in 2009 as a nonprofit organization to assist with the adoption of homeless, abandoned and neglected dogs in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Since losing its adoption house after the 2016 flood, it has been a foster-based rescue. Adoption events are held from noon to 3 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the Acadian Village Petco, 3535 Perkins Road. After rescue, all dogs receive a full medical exam including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, heartworm and fecal tests.
