University View Academy received the Innovative Education Award from the Louisiana Association of Public Charter schools at the association’s annual conference. The Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools presented its Innovative Education Award to University View Academy at the association’s annual conference.

The online charter school was honored for its Early College and Dual Enrollment programs initiated under Superintendent Lonnie Luce, a news release said. Students in the program who graduate from the school receive a high school diploma and two years of college credit or an associate’s degree from a Louisiana college or community college.
