Walker named Outstanding Woman in the Arts by DAR _lowres

Liz Walker was selected as an Outstanding Woman in the Arts by the National Daughters of the American Revolution Society on May 18 at the chapter’s monthly meeting at the Bluebonnet Library branch of the EBR Parish Library.

Walker, owner of the Elizabethan Gallery in Baton Rouge, is a past regent and member of the John James Audubon Chapter of the National DAR. She has served as chairwoman of the Mid City Merchants art festivals for the past 17 years and helped the Mid City area achieve state Cultural District designation in 2010.

American Heritage Chairman Margaret Tyler researched the information necessary for Walker to receive the award.
