West Feliciana Parish Council, District D
Zephie Marionneaux, 42, no party, is running for the District D seat on the West Feliciana Parish Council.
A lifelong resident of West Feliciana Parish, Marionneaux is a 1990 graduate of West Feliciana High School, a nationally and state registered emergency medical technician and has worked for West Feliciana Parish Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services for 18 years.
She is the safety officer for emergency management and preparedness at the hospital and works closely with the parish’s Emergency Operations Center, she said in a written announcement.
She has two children, Clayton, 19, and Madison, 16.
“It’s no secret that the political atmosphere is thick with indifference and disrespect toward those who approved the home rule charter form of government,” Marionneaux said. “Citizens must speak loudly by casting their vote for a candidate who will support that form of government and improve upon it.”
She said her career path was chosen after her parents, Will and Pat Riddle, dedicated their lives to saving others.
“Their partnership on and off the ambulance was an inspiration to me as well as others, and my late father always encouraged me to do what I thought was right, so I am,” Marionneaux said.
As District D Councilwoman, Marionneaux says she will listen to residents and consider all sides before making decisions that will affect the entire parish.
