Plaquemine’s Comogo Parade moved to Sunday night due to expected bad weather _lowres

The annual Krewe of Comogo Parade has been moved to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The parade was originally set to roll on Monday night, but officials said Friday that Monday’s weather forecasts of heavy rain and cold temperatures have prompted organizers to host the Mardi Gras parade a day early.

The route will remain the same with parade staging at the Plaquemine Waterfront Park.

The parade will begin between Iberville Street and Citizens Bank on La. 1 in Plaquemine and continue south to Belleview Road, where it will make a right and continue to the Carl F. Grant Civic Center.

The krewe will still host its annual gala at 7 p.m. Monday at the Carl F. Grant Civic Center.
