The Zachary Junior Broncos dominated the day Nov. 15 during the second round of playoffs of the Louisiana Elite Youth Football League.

“We made history by becoming the first organization with four teams in the Superbowl. This was epic!” A team coach Ralph Walker said. “The future looks bright for Zachary football.”

All four of the Zachary Junior Bronco teams — A, B, C and D — defeated their opponents Saturday.

Kicking off a full day of Elite football were the Donaldsonville Redskins and Central Bobcats D teams. The Redskins lost to the Bobcats 20-6.

The Zachary Junior Broncos’ and Dutchtown Griffins’ D teams competed with the Junior Broncos beating the Griffins 12-6.

Donaldsonville’s C team defeated the Ascension Bulldogs 28-6, while Pointe Coupee lost to Zachary’s C team 22-18.

Elite football’s B teams included the Dutchtown Griffins losing to the Pointe Coupee Hurricanes 26-0, and the Junior Broncos winning over the Donaldsonville Redskins 14-6.

Zachary’s A team beat the White Castle Kings 35-21, while the Hurricanes defeated the Redskins 35-0.

Winners from Saturday’s games will head to the Superbowl on Nov. 22 at Southern’s A.W. Mumford Stadium.
