Lane employees take part Oct. 29 in Pink Out Day for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The group raised $500 for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Lane Regional Medical Center employees held a Pink Out Day on Oct. 29 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Employees paid $5 to wear pink and raised $500 for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for research and patient assistance. All funds will be used locally, a news release said.

Lane Pink Out Day was an initiative of the Employee Leadership Council. The purpose, the release said, was to engage employees and promote breast cancer awareness.
