Baton Rouge police are looking for two men involved in a Tuesday evening armed robbery of a furniture store on Airline Highway in north Baton Rouge.

A ski-masked, gun-toting man entered First Choice Home Furnishings around 7 p.m. Tuesday and approached a store manager who was counting money in the store’s cash register, Cpl. Don Coppola Jr., a Baton Rouge police spokesman, said in a news release.

The man forced the manager at gunpoint to back away from the register, which enabled the robber to grab an undisclosed about of cash and run out the store’s main doors, Coppola said.

Meantime, a second man stood as a “look out” outside the business, Coppola said.

The man who walked inside the store is described as a 6 foot to 6 feet two inches tall black man with a medium build. He wore a black ski mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt, tan cargo pants, fingerless gloves and white tennis shoes during the robbery, Coppola said.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call them at (225) 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
