Baton Rouge man accused of kicking in girlfriend’s door, then attacking her _lowres

Baton Rouge Police arrested a 21-year-old man accused of smashing through his girlfriend’s door on Feb. 22 and attacking her before running away.

Chancellar Williams kicked in the front door of his girlfriend’s home on Beech Street, then slapped the woman several times, according to the arrest warrant. Then he threw his girlfriend, who is pregnant with his child, to the floor and held her on the ground while threatening her before running away, the warrant says.

Police found the woman had made other complaints against Williams in the past, involving aggravated arson and aggravated burglary, the warrant says.

Williams, of 3522 Amarillo St., Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of home invasion.
