Two juveniles were injured in a crash in a stolen vehicle on Plank Road near Chippewa Street Monday morning, one of whom was also injured in a prior, unrelated shooting, according to police.

Baton Rouge police officers observed a vehicle driving erratically, then crash about 11 a.m. Monday on Plank Road, said Baton Rouge Police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr.

One of the two juveniles found in the car had a gunshot wound from what police believe was a prior incident, Coppola said, which seems to be unrelated to the crash. Both juveniles were taken to the hospital for their injures from the crash.

Coppola said police later determined the vehicle was reported stolen.
