At least three people were injured Friday evening in a three-car wreck on Interstate 10, where traffic was stalled by four separate crashes involving eight vehicles between Bluebonnet and LA 73 in Prairieville.

Three of the wrecks were eastbound between Bluebonnet and Highland Road and one was westbound near LA 73, said State Police spokesman Bryan Lee.

No serious injuries, but a few people were transported to the hospital, he said.

The crashes were unrelated but were due to “distracted and aggressive driving,” Lee said.

Three people were injured in a three-car wreck on eastbound I-10 near the Mall of Louisiana, and three 3 patients were transported with nonlife-threatening injuries, said EMS representative Nick McDonner.
