A 10-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 at Siegen Lane caused the highway to close for a while during morning rush hour Tuesday, State Police spokesman Russell Graham said.

Graham said there were no serious injuries but seven people went to local hospitals for treatment.

Graham said the accident was a series of rear-end crashes.

The accident occurred just before 6 a.m., Graham said.

I-10 east at the Siegen Lane exit was shut down for about 30 minutes, Graham said.

Graham said tow trucks removed the vehicles from the interstate and took them to a location off of Siegen Lane where the remainder of the crash investigation took place.

Although it was a 10-vehicle crash, only nine stopped, Graham said.

A silver Camry with Texas plates was the one car that drove off from the accident scene, Graham said.
