An arrest was made in a tailgate fight that was videotaped Saturday before the LSU-Chattanooga game, where a man with a cast on his arm is seen using it to beat up another person, according to LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard.

Casen Maggio, 18, who is not affiliated with LSU, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of aggravated battery Wednesday, Ballard said.

Maggio, of 16358 Joe Severino Road, Prairieville, is accused of hitting an LSU student in the face with a full arm cast, breaking several bones in the student's face and knocking him unconscious during a tailgate on the campus Parade Grounds, according to an arrest report. Doctors told the student he would need surgery to repair the damage from the punch, according to the report.

When the LSU student reported the incident to campus police on Sunday, he said he was trying to break up a fight when Maggio hit him.

Police said Maggio commented on a video of the altercation on Twitter, saying, "Yeah after I got choked out and they drug me into the circle again," Maggio tweeted. "I hope someone has the video cause I wanna post it too I'm not trippin."

Maggio made several other posts about the video on Twitter, according to the report.

Maggio is a recent graduate of an Ascension Parish high school, according to his arrest report. Investigators went to his high school, which was not identified in the report, and met with school administrators, who then identified Maggio as the man in the video.

LSU Police had investigated the incident, which was circulating on social media, Ballard said.
