A 23-year-old woman was arrested in the shooting death Wednesday of her boyfriend, according to a Baton Rouge Police report.
Jalisa Lashae Wilson, of 1634 Fairchild St., was arrested in the slaying of Reginald Lee, who police said lived with Wilson.
Police were summoned at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to the couple’s home where they found Lee with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died later at a hospital.
During questioning Wilson told detectives that Lee had “physically attacked her and she shot him in self defense,” police said in the report.
But police said Wilson had no physical signs that showed she had been attacked and the house showed no signs that a struggle had taken place there, according to the report.
Police also said Wilson “provided several inconsistent statements.”
Wilson was booked into Parish Prison on one count of second-degree murder.
