A 55-year-old man was arrested Sunday after he was accused of raping an underage girl, according to an arrest affidavit of probable cause.

James Leslie Lyon, 17023 Sharpsburg Ave., was booked Sunday with aggravated rape.

According to the affidavit, Lyon is accused of performing oral sex on the victim on different occasions while the victim’s mother was at work.

The victim’s age was withheld, but East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said the girl was younger than 10 years old.

The victim told her mother about what happened and the mother called the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities book 1 on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least one person suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday, booking records show.

Craig David, 48, 1356 Flora Lane, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of first-offense DWI and speeding.
