Update, 8:50 p.m.: Police have determined the body is that of a 60-year-old man who died of natural causes, said Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola.

No obvious signs of foul play were observed, Coppola said. 

Original Story: A body was found Thursday evening in the 2500 block of North Acadian Thruway East, said Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola.

Police received a call about 6:15 p.m. and are investigating the incident, Coppola said.

The body appears to be that of a male, Coppola said.

The investigation had just begun, Coppola said, and few details were available.
