A 52-year-old Hammond man died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Tickfaw, Louisiana State Police said.
Michael S. McDonald was riding a Harley Davidson westbound on La. 1064 shortly after 3:30 p.m. when his motorcycle drove off the right side of the road in a curve and crashed into a culvert, said Trooper 1st Class Dustin Dwight, a State Police spokesman.
McDonald was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene of the crash west of Cherry Street, Dwight said. Dwight said McDonald was properly wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation, Dwight said.
