Police searching for woman responsible for hit and run on Government Street last month

Police are looking to identify a woman involved in a hit-and-run on Government Street last month.

Baton Rouge police are asking the public for helping identifying a woman who struck a corner store employee with her car last month.

On July 22, BRPD says the female suspect walked into a convenience store on Government Street, where she became “belligerent” with the store’s employees.

She was escorted from the business and subsequently struck one of the employees with her car. The employee was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the incident or regarding the suspect’s identity is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at (225) 233-7867, download the P3 Tips app, or visit crimestoppersbr.com.

All tips will remain completely anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward, police say.
