Taurus Ike Hamilton — the man accused of killing four people Sunday in both Zachary and East Feliciana Parish — was transported back to East Feliciana on Friday and booked into jail following his arrest in Alabama days earlier, authorities said.
East Feliciana Sheriff Jeff Travis said that deputies drove to Tuscaloosa on Friday to pick up Hamilton. He was arrested there Monday alongside his mother after the two fled from local police.
Hamilton, 36, was booked into the East Feliciana Parish jail on three counts of first-degree murder, Travis said. Zachary Police Chief David McDavid said Hamilton would also be booked on one count of second-degree murder in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Zachary police transported Hamilton's mother, Belinda Folse, from Alabama to East Baton Rouge on Friday as well, and she was booked into Parish Prison on one count of accessory to second-degree murder after the fact, McDavid said.
According to police, Hamilton shot and killed Chris Price after an argument at a gas station in Zachary around 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Then he drove about five miles north on Plank Road and killed his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend and his father: Laquana Whitfield, Gerald "PJ" Tate and Gerald "Pie" Parker.
