Detectives are looking for three people who robbed an elderly woman at gunpoint and stole her car from her home July 1, according to an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office news release.

The incident occurred in the 17000 block of Carlisle Avenue at approximately 6 p.m., Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said in the release.

According to reports, the woman returned home from shopping at the Walmart on O’Neal Lane when she noticed a dark Honda sedan pull in her driveway behind her, Hicks said.

A black man and woman got out of the vehicle and approached her, Hicks said.

The man pointed a gun at the victim, took her keys, got into her vehicle and left.

The woman returned to the Honda, driven by another black woman, and they drove off, Hicks said.

Detectives obtained surveillance video from Walmart that shows the suspects following the victim out of the store and as she left in her vehicle, Hicks said.

Detectives later found the victim’s vehicle abandoned on Jones Creek Road.

The man is described as a black man in his 20s, approximately 6-feet tall, heavy build, with dark skin and short hair. He was wearing light-colored jeans and a light-colored t-shirt, Hicks said.

The first woman is described as black and in her 20s, 5-feet, 2-inches tall with an average build, dark skin and braided hair. She was wearing dark pants and a blue shirt.

The third suspect, the driver, is a black woman wearing a yellow shirt and khaki shorts, Hicks said.
