A 33-year-old woman driving in Baton Rouge Sunday night was struck in the leg by a bullet that pierced her car door in what police say could be a random shooting, said Baton Rouge Police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely.
She was “just driving down the road and a bullet went through her door,” McKneely said.
The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. as the woman traveled westbound on Government Street near Lovers Lane.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, McKneely said. There are no suspects or known motives in the case, which is still under investigation, he said.
