Baton Rouge police are searching for a man who robbed the Chase Bank branch on Drusilla Lane Saturday morning.

The robber walked into the bank at 3428 Drusilla at 10:38 a.m., and handed the teller a note saying he had a gun, although no one saw a weapon, Cpl. Don Coppola Jr., said, a Baton Rouge police spokesman said.

The man passed over a red bag, which the teller filled with money. The robber then fled east to Interline Avenue where police believe he got into a black or dark-colored sport utility vehicle, Coppola said.

The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man with facial hair between 40-45 years old, standing about 5 feet, 10 inches and weighing between 170-180 pounds.

He wore a black hoodie, dark blue jeans, a black shirt, white athletic shoes and sunglasses, Coppola said.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact police at (225) 389-3845 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
