Baton Rouge police arrested a man Friday in a January incident in which the suspect’s second cousin was stabbed, knocked unconscious and robbed of $23.

Bobby Collins, 53, struck the victim in the face shortly after another person stabbed the victim in the shoulder at an address on Billops Street, a Baton Rouge Police Department report says. Collins and two other suspects fled the area while the victim was unconscious.

Collins stole $23 in cash from the man, the report says.

The victim, who identified Collins as his second cousin and the person who hit him during the robbery, was treated at a hospital for a stab wound and severe facial trauma, according to the report.

The report describes the two other people involved in the robbery as “unknown.”

Collins, 805 Charles St., Baker, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of armed robbery. His bond has not been set yet, according to online booking records.
