Police arrested eight Baton Rouge residents Wednesday after officers discovered an array of narcotics in large quantities at a Southmoor Drive house, one street away from Broadmoor Elementary School.
The Baton Rouge Police Department narcotics division on Wednesday searched the house at 9536 Southmoor Drive, where five of those arrested lived, and found cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, LSD, dexmethylphenidate — which is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and psilocybin — hallucinogenic mushrooms — as well as almost $3,000 and a .40 caliber Glock handgun.
The eight people were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a variety of drug counts.
Five of those arrested listed their address as 9536 Southmoor Drive: James Denhollem, 24; Ethan Daigle, 24; Tyler Burchfield, 24; Robert Wycoff, 24; and Jessica Kringlie, 20.
Also arrested were Ryan LeJeune, 24, 5058 River Meadow Drive; James Soileau, 22, 5525 Ducros Drive; and Emily Butler, 21, 1115 Marilyn Drive.
