A man who indicated to an employee that he was armed robbed Target on Siegen Lane Wednesday night, the Sheriff’s Office said.

An employee collecting money from the registers was approached by the robber at about 10:45 p.m., said Casey Rayborn Hicks, an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

He lifted the front of his shirt, indicating that he had a gun and told her, “Don’t move. Don’t call anyone,” Hicks said in a news release.

The robber took the keys to the register from the employee and then took money from the cash drawer and fled the store, Hicks said.

He was seen leaving the store in a silver four-door vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, she said.

Hicks described the robber as a black male in his mid-twenties, 5 feet, 11 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing about 180 – 220 pounds. He has a dark complexion with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was wearing dark-blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
