A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run Wednesday night, Baton Rouge Police reported.
The incident took place in the 4500 block of Elm Drive around 8 p.m., according to spokesperson Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. He said the pedestrian was believed to have been struck by a dark colored vehicle.
The pedestrian died from his injuries at the scene.
Police have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed Wednesday night following a hit-and-run accident in Baton Rouge.
Police later identified the pedestrian as 44-year-old Chelvis Maiden of Zachary.
An investigation remains ongoing.
