Deputies are searching for a 25-year-old woman accused Monday of being part of a group of people who robbed at gunpoint six men at a Baton Rouge residence.
The men told East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies a woman greeted one of them on their porch around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at 5734 Kleinpeter Road while the rest were sleeping inside, the arrest warrant says.
The woman then left, returning minutes later with another woman and several men, all armed.
They walked into the residence without knocking, and the women told the men with them to take the victims’ wallets, money and cell phones, the warrant says. The women were believed to be armed with revolvers and the men with assault-style weapons, the warrant says, and they left shortly after stealing the items mentioned.
Deputies noticed three victims suffered extensive blood loss from cuts on the back of their heads. One victim was struck by the stock of a rifle, the warrant says.
When interviewed, the victims told deputies they recognized one of the women, Melissa Jasmine Taylor, and showed a photograph of her to deputies. Two of the victims later identified her in a six-photograph line-up, the warrant says.
Taylor, 2938 Winnebago St., is wanted on armed robbery, home invasion and aggravated battery, the warrant says.
