Jennetta Toliver

A Baton Rouge woman was arrested Tuesday and accused of beating someone with a baseball bat during an armed robbery that left the victim badly injured.

Jennetta Marie Toliver, 38, had an unknown male accomplice hold down the victim while she "severely and viciously beat him" in the early hours of Feb. 17, according to the arrest warrant filed by the Baton Rouge Police Department. The victim suffered multiple lacerations to the face, facial fractures, broken ribs and breaks to his arms.

Police responded around 1:45 a.m. to the 700 block of Monet Drive and found the victim "severely beaten and bleeding excessively."

Police spoke with the victim at the hospital three days after the incident and he told them Toliver took his phone, keys, wallet and $150 after the beating, according to the warrant.
