A man previously involved in a shooting was arrested Friday after threatening to shoot people during the Southern University Homecoming Parade Saturday, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.
Michael Jackson, 27, is accused of making threats that caused "serious concern and disruption to the general public" after posing with a silver revolver and a body armor vest on social media, his arrest report says.
The parade route was set to pass near Jackson's residence on Curtis Street. Jackson, who was connected to an Aug. 17 shooting in the area, engaged with other social media users about his plans, the report says.
Jackson, 1654 Curtis Street, was booked into Parish Prison Friday night on a court of terror and booked on a count of terrorizing.
