An organization founded by Joe Burrow, who led LSU to a national championship and is the current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, has launched a new grant program to reach its mission to help the underserved in Louisiana and Ohio.
The Joe Burrow Foundation on Tuesday unveiled its “Do Good” grants and will consider requests of up to $50,000 for projects that "develop new pathways for mental health protection and food insecurity that are sustainable and designed to have lasting impact," the foundation said in a statement.
Burrow launched the foundation in October 2022 to help families overcome food insecurity and childhood mental health issues.
There will be two grant application cycles each year, with the first application period open now through April 30. The second application cycle will open this summer.
The grants will help children in Baton Rouge and the Greater Cincinnati area, which includes Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
