Former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Friday morning on CNN that he won’t be attending the Republican National Convention — not as a boycott or to express discontent, but because, “right now, there’s simply no point for me to go.”
In an interview with Alisyn Camerota on CNN’s “New Day,” Jindal also described his plan to vote for Donald Trump for president as the choice for the lesser of two evils. Trump “was certainly not my first choice,” he said.
The 2016 GOP convention will be July 18-21 in Cleveland, Ohio.
