Medicaid: Gov.-elect John Bel Edwards gave more insight into his plan for expanding Medicaid through the federal Affordable Care Act.

Cabinet: Gov.-Elect John Bel Edwards almost filled out his cabinet Wednesday, naming the heads of two of state government’s largest agencies.

Campaign finance: Edwards’ campaign strongly out-raised Republican rival David Vitter in the final weeks of the election. Campaign finance records show Edwards’ political team earned generous “win bonuses” in the end.
